I was just reading the article in the paper about the recently purchased 1659 home in Norwich! Great job saving that from demolition! What an amazing family history all the way from the Mayflower unbelievable! I am a professional metal detectorist and I would love to try to recover some of the amazing historical relics that are hiding only inches in the ground and donate them to the family and or museum! This is a very professional, free, lawn friendly service & I love saving history and getting it into the right hands! If you are interested in having your property detected to see what amazing relics are hiding in the ground, please get ahold of me: Thanks and have a great day! -Joshua

This is exciting to find the CFA. Just scrolling thru some facebook friends pages and I found you. My sister has the research that my dad did when he joined the Sons of the American Revolution and I remember Hugh Calkins being on the family tree. I look forward to joining this organization and will donate to help restore Hugh's homestead. Very Excited!

Great work Calkins family! I join the Calkins line through Phebe Calkins who married Ebeneezer Manley. I am working to prove that Phebe and her father Thomas Calkins descend from Joseph Calkins and Deborah Crippen.

Hello. Lois Standish, who married Hugh Calkins in 1706 in CT is my 8th great-aunt. I just found out about this interesting association when some one told me about the efforts to save the Hugh Calkins residence. (Myles Standish is my 9th great-grandfather.) I look forward to hearing more about the house project.

This is a very active family association with helpful, friendly members. And to think anyone with the Calkins name, no matter how you spell it, connects to each other!
