Calkins Family Association

Searching the Past, Educating the Present, Preserving the Future
We are a public history organization. We collect and preserve genealogical and historical research with an emphasis on the name Calkins or one of its various spellings, and share the results with interested parties.
We are restoring the c. 1659 Hugh Calkins House in Norwich, CT.

The Calkins Family Association bought Hugh’s house!

The historical home of our ancestor Hugh Calkins II, located at 232 West Town Street, Norwich, Connecticut, was slated for demolition. The Calkins Family Association (CFA) Board of Directors held an emergency discussion and overwhelmingly agreed to purchase his home and rescue it from the wrecking ball.
